Closed Independence Day

We Grow Dreams will be CLOSED Thursday July 4th in observance of Independence Day.  We hope that everyone gets to have fun times with family and friends!  Be safe and while the weather may not be perfect this year, enjoy the holiday while it is here!

Our team will be back in action Friday July 5th when we start our annual summer Trunk Sale – we hope to see you then!

Trunk Sale Starts July 5th!

Do you need a fresh splash of color in a lot of places?  Feel like making planters to give away to make folks smile?  Did the bunnies eat all of your blooms?

Stop by We Grow Dreams as you move through your 4th of July long weekend to get in some planting time!  We still have flats of alyssum, petunias, marigolds, begonias, impatiens, and vegetables along with some beautiful Dragonwing Begonias, New Guinea and SunPatiens, and so much more that can be taken home by the carload!

We will admit to having a great season this Spring, so not as much is available as in year’s prior.  Still, our summer surplus can end up as huge savings and beauty for you and yours all while helping to support our mission to provide employment for adults with disabilities, the sale starts July 5th!

Guest Speakers Roy Diblik and Annamaria Leon

Thank you to everyone who attended our late June program featuring Roy Diblik and Annamaria Leon!  We hope you found them to be as pleasant and informative as we thought they were!  In case you missed it, here are a few details about them:

Roy is best known for his expertise in natural plant families and design.  He has written books on garden design and was an integral part of planning Lurie Gardens at Millenial Park, Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute, Grand Geneva Resort and many homes around the Chicagoland and Lake Geneva area.  He is part owner of Northwind Perennial Farms in Burlington Wisconsin.  Learn more about Roy at

Annamaria is co-owner of Homan Grown, a social enterprise focused on propagating urban durable perennials, and creating regenerative edible and ornamental landscapes.  She is a certificate permaculture designer and teacher.

Check our calendar page for more information.

Open 7 Days a Week!

We are now open 7 days a week through July, giving you even more opportunities to stop by to support our mission to provide employment for adults with disabilities.

We are currently running our Buy One Get One Flat of 6-packs or individual 3″ pots (does not apply to round pots or perennials).
